Questions

What is Mockathon?

An in-person SQE1 practice festival for January sitters: full timed mocks, practical talks, founder Q&A, prizes and a chance to meet people preparing for the same exam. Sit FLK1, FLK2 or both, see how your score ranks against the room and make your January preparation a shared experience.

What is the Q&A session?

After the paper, join an hour of practical exam discussions and live Q&A with our co-founders, who passed the SQE1. Bring questions from the paper you just sat, compare approaches and talk through your final revision decisions. The speaker programme will be announced with the ticket details.

Which days can I join?

FLK1 is Saturday 19 December 2026 and FLK2 is Saturday 2 January 2027. Each day uses the January SQE1 format: 170 questions in two sessions of 85, 2 hours 33 minutes each, with a 60-minute break. Choose FLK1, FLK2 or both.

Where is it?

The Council Chamber at Hornsey Town Hall, The Broadway, Crouch End, London N8 9JJ.

What happens after I join?

You get the ticket link 48 hours before general release, with prices and the programme. Joining the interest list is free and does not reserve a seat. You can choose whether to book when tickets open.

Can the programme change?

We will share the programme and booking terms when tickets open. If a date or programme detail changes, we will email everyone on the list. Joining the list is not a booking and no payment is taken now.

How much will it cost?

This is a ticketed event. Prices will be announced when tickets open. We’re working to keep them low, with free tickets or concessions where possible. You do not need a paid SQE Cracker plan to attend.

What prizes can I win?

There will be prizes to compete for, including SQE Cracker platform memberships. We’re finalising the awards, scoring, eligibility and tie-break details and will publish them before tickets open.

Will I meet other candidates?

Yes. The hour-long break gives you time to meet fellow January sitters, compare study experiences and make new connections. The timed sessions stay focused on your paper; the talks and Q&A bring everyone together afterwards.

What happens before my sitting?

Ticket holders will receive practical joining information before their sitting. If your plans change, contact us so we can help under the booking terms.

How many seats are there, and when does the list close?

60 seats per day. The waitlist closes on 31 October 2026.

Why do you ask for proof of my SQE1 registration?

Mockathon places should go to genuine SQE1 candidates, so we ask for proof that you are registered for January 2027. It can be the confirmation PDF or a screenshot of the email. It is optional now: if you do not have it to hand, we will ask you for it later. We keep it private, use it only for this check, and delete it after the exam or sooner if you ask. The privacy notice has the details.

Why do you ask which city I am in?

The day is in north London. Knowing where people are travelling from helps us plan for the room.

What time does it start, and what should I bring?

Start times, access information, what to bring and the full programme will be shared when tickets open. You can also ask us about access requirements before booking.

Is this an official SQE exam?

No. SQE Cracker is independent of the SRA, Kaplan and Pearson VUE, and Mockathon is not an official assessment. It is a practice sitting, run like the real day.
